The Honeymoon is Over

(She must want to go see "This is it" she's got some MJ going on there :) )

Kaidyn is still doing good. She is hanging in there, but she is out of her "honeymoon" stage. As the nurses put it, she is now realizing that she is out in the big world and is having second thoughts. She saying " Ummm.... put me back!!!" So she has had some ups and downs the past few days. They have done yet another test, this one is to see if she has a heart murmur. So we are wait for the results from that and the one to see if she has an infection. A very special moment happened today with Kaidyn. As I was doing her "hands on" (taking her temp, changing her diaper, lube, "teeth brushing" etc.) her nurse decided to go ahead and suction her lungs out (since she can't cough they have to get the yuck stuff out so she can breathe better) so I let her hold my finger and placed my hand over her. I started talking to her and.... HER STATS WENT UP!!! Now, you may be like wow that's good but no, that's GREAT. She hates to be suctioned and her stats drop every time and then take a few minutes to return to normal. So, it was definitely a great ending to such a hard day. Well goodnight all!
